In this workshop, we’ll explore how to write with an eye that refuses to look away, capturing the world in its smallest details and largest truths. What does it mean to truly observe, to render something so precisely it becomes universal? Through generative exercises and guided discussion, we’ll lean into the power of language to deepen perception, allowing every word to resonate like a bell. From vivid imagery to nuanced emotional landscapes, this session is an invitation to explore what the poetic gaze can uncover—and how it can change the way we see everything.Bring your curiosity, your pen (and your pencil, museums don’t allow pens in the gallery) and your willingness to look closer. A new world of writing is waiting.

Epistolary Craft: Love, Loathing, and Everything Between
Sunday, February 23, 2025
Virtual 1:00 pm to 4:00pm
Epistolary Craft: Love, Loathing, and Everything BetweenThe letter is a shape-shifter: intimate yet public, raw yet deliberate, tender, brutal, or gloriously petty. In this workshop, we’ll lean into the vast potential of epistolary writing—crafting everything from love letters and confessions to screeds, pleas, and declarations that crackle with urgency.
What do you say when the words are too risky—or too delicious—to speak aloud? How do you hold a reader captive when they’re eavesdropping on a conversation meant for someone else? Together, we’ll explore the craft and precision that transform letters into art, playing with voice, tone, and audience to create work that lingers like a perfume or stings like an open wound.
Bring your grudges, your gratitude, your secrets, and your best pen. Let’s write letters that demand to be read.

Composting Creativity: What Will You Leave Behind?
Saturday, March 8, 2025
Virtual 1:00 pm - 4:00pm
Not everything we create blooms—but even the discarded has value. This workshop invites you to sift through your creative scraps, unfinished drafts, and failed experiments to uncover the seeds of something new. Like a compost heap transforming leftovers into rich soil, we’ll explore how to turn what no longer serves us into fertile ground for future work. Through guided prompts, reflective exercises, and a bit of creative alchemy, we’ll look at the projects you’ve set aside or the ideas you’ve deemed unusable. What can they teach you? How might they transform into something unexpected? This isn’t about reclaiming everything—it’s about finding the beauty in what we leave behind and letting it nourish what comes next.

What to Expect:
-
Excavating the Creative Heap: Dive into your abandoned drafts, unrealized ideas, and those nagging fragments that won’t quite let you go. Together, we’ll sift through what’s been left behind to uncover its hidden richness.
-
Transformative Exercises: Through guided prompts and reflective practice, we’ll turn discarded work into fertile ground for something new—whether it’s fresh writing, a deeper understanding of your creative process, or both.
-
A Symbolic Compost Pile: Create a space, literal or figurative, where you can leave behind what no longer serves you and let it transform into something that nurtures future growth.
-
A Practice of Renewal: Discover how the remnants of past work can nourish your creative present, reshaping the way you think about what’s “unfinished” or “failed.”
Who This is For:
This workshop is for anyone holding onto creative scraps and wondering what they’re still worth. It’s for the writer ready to turn the discarded into the essential, the curious into the clear. Whether you’re a poet, prose writer, or creator of undefinable forms, this session offers a space to honor what you’ve set aside and use it to fuel what’s yet to come.
